Time in a Bucket

Walking into a new estate sale feels like stepping into a life well lived. Every item represents a moment, a milestones, and memories. As Lindy and I begin the process of pricing, photographing, and staging, we aren’t just preparing for a sale. We’re honoring a those stories.

For our current sale, the couple is moving to Europe. Where they will land is still uncertain, and they won’t take much more than what will fit in a couple of suitcases. They will leave behind treasures discovered on countless trips around the world: a Japanese tansu that doubled as both storage and a staircase it their Manhattan loft, a French country dining table where they've hosted beloved friends, and a custom built couch that has been a centerpiece of their sun filled living room.

As a professional photographer, his stunning photographs will be left to inspire dreams for a new owner. Someone else will toast with the champagne flutes, and have late night conversations while sipping old fashioneds from the lowball crystal glasses. Just as the couple’s lives will enter a new chapter, so will their belongings.

Our job isn’t just to organize and sell; it’s to respect the memories woven into every object while finding them homes where they’ll be appreciated anew. We carefully stage each space, capturing the beauty of these well-loved belongings in photographs that invite buyers to see not just items, but possibilities. For the couple, this process is emotional—equal parts nostalgia and new beginnings. And for us, it’s a reminder that estate sales are often markers of both endings and beginnings. The story continues.
